DWT 23800 Cargo Ship Successfully Launched by Evergreen Air Bags

On 4th November a DWT 23800 cargo ship named “Chang An 189” was successfully launched by Evergreen engineering teams with Evergreen marine airbags.
The cargo ship with 158 meters length and 23.8 meters molded breadth weighs 6,000 tons. It was built on a concrete ramp whose slope angle was 1/70. November is the dry season so water level of river is of the lowest point. According to the low water level Evergreen engineers designed the detailed launch project and contingency plan which was approved by China MSA (Maritime Safety Administration).
Total 46 pieces Evergreen marine airbags (1.5 meters diameter by 18 meters length) were employed to launch the “Chang An 189” cargo ship. The inclined angle of ship was carefully adjusted to the demanded point when it was raised up by marine airbags. By a start push force the ship began to move with the rolling of airbags and entered into water slowly. It took 90 seconds from the ship’s start to full float.
The success of airbag ship launching at low water level indicates the perfect quality of airbag and advanced technology owned by Evergreen teams. And Evergreen wins four ships launching contract with CNOOC at the afternoon 4th November.
Evergreen is ready for another success.

Chinese search engine to boost market share with new services

Chinese search engine Baidu Inc. has launched two services for mobile users, in an effort to gain an edge and market share in the world's largest mobile market, China Daily reported Thursday.
Baidu launched its client software that combines search and other functions it offers on the PC Internet. With this software, mobile users can access search services much faster than WAP browsers.
The company has also come out with a new mobile software input method, which was developed by Shanghai-based Day Hand Networks Co.Ltd., a mobile software company it had acquired earlier.
The company said it was going to continue its cooperation with telecom carriers and other players. Last month Baidu signed a partnership with China Unicom to provide wireless search for the carrier's 3G mobile subscribers.
Mobile Internet users in the country reached 192 million by the end of September this year, an increase of 62.7 percent year on year, and the number of computer-based Internet users grew to 360 million during the same period, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

CNOOC Launches New Vessel with Evergreen Marine Airbags

On 5th Nov. CNOOC launched his new built deck barge “Ocean oil 225” with Evergreen marine airbags. The barge’s lightweight is 8500 ton with 161 meters length, 31 meters width and 9 meters height. The launching ramp is 178 meters long and 50 meters wide and its slope degree is 0.859.

The “Ocean oil 225” is designed as deck barge, its empty gravity center is far away from the central point. Evergreen engineers used 500 ton ballast water to adjust barge’s gravity center to the suitable position.

Total 50 pieces Evergreen marine airbags (1.8 meter diameter and 18 meter long) rise up the barge first and adjust the barge’s gradient to demanded angle. At that time ropes from winch pull the barge from slipping. When water reached the wanted depth, ropes were break down to release the barge. Then barge went into the water smoothly by riding marine airbags and it total took 62 seconds from start to float.

CNOOC has a long-term supply from Qingdao Evergreen Maritime which includes ship launching and ship fenders’ designing and supplying. Qingdao Evergreen Maritime is a professional manufacturer of marine airbags and ship fenders and also the global consultant of airbag launching engineering.
